Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats

   If you clicked on this recipe then I’m guessing you are in need of a yummy quick breakfast, or if you are like me lunch as well. I’m a sucker when it comes to oats and will have them any time of the day! There is just something so good and refreshing and you can really doctor them up. Also it is an easy recipe because most of the preparation is done the evening before. Then all you have to do in the morning is fry the apples and combine the yogurt and chocolate chips. 

  It’s also a great fall recipe and tastes so yummy with the fried apples on top of it. The chocolate yogurt with the chocolate chips is another good thing to it as well. 

   The first time I tried overnight oats I wasn’t sure if I would like them but as soon as I ate them I was hooked. So if you are hesitant then just give it a try you might end up loving it like I did. 

   Now for the ingredients and things you will need. 
Ingredients
* rolled oats
* milk
* banana
* cinnamon
* chia seeds
* cottage cheese
* salt 
* Greek yogurt
* Cacao powder
* dark chocolate chips
* apple 
* maple syrup

Tools you will need
* bowls 
* spoon 
* measuring cups 
* measuring spoons
* knives
* jar

So you should have most of those ingredients and most definitely most tools as well. So wait no longer get up and make these overnight oats!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 banana mashed

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp cottage cheese

  • pinch of salt

  • Apple topping
  • 1 medium apple

  • sprinkle of cinnamon

  • some maple syrup

  • Yogurt topping
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp cacao powder

  • 1 Tbsp dark chocolate chips

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  • The night before combine the oatmeal stuff and put it in a jar in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 hours. Then in the morning get it out and put in a bowl.

  • For the apple topping cut the apple up in dices and put it on a pan to fry once it gets a little soft add the maple syrup and cinnamon to the top and let fry till a little carmalized.

  • While your apple is frying you could put your yogurt in a bowl with the maple syrup and cacao powder stir it till it is combined then add the chocolate chips and stir them in then put it on top of your oats.

  • Then once your apples are you done you can put them on top as well.
